  • Clinical Lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery to the University of Oxford for seven years during which time he gained a Doctorate for research on human bone cell biology relevant to clinical practice, particularly bone grafting
  • Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer in Orthopaedic Surgery to the University of Oxford teaching both anatomy to undergraduate students and clinical surgery to graduate medical students

  • He is programme director in trauma and orthopaedic surgery for the Oxford region, responsible for forty orthopaedic surgeons in training. He speaks regularly at national and international meetings on topics related to adult hip & knee surgery and teaches regularly on instructional courses
